Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa construction update I visited Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa today and was amazed at the wonderful finish to the resort. The apartments and villas are completed and are looking great. They have the highest quality finish of the real estate resorts on Sal island. The furniture is top quality and gives the finishing touch to these five star luxury apartments. The gardens and communal areas in Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa are landscaped and the pools are finished looking wonderful. Construction remaining The beach bar in Tortuga is being worked on at the moment but progress is rapid with a large workforce driving forward towards completion. The beach bar sits on the white sands of Ponta Preta beach and has spectacular views of the coastline – it will be a wonderful location for lunch. The Sol Melia Hotel is still under construction although many parts of it are nearing completion. The Spa is already finished and much of the bar and restaurant equipment is already in place. They are still working on the reception area and finishing off the furnishing of the hotel rooms. The hotel is only a few weeks away from being ready to open.
